#carryuswithyou: Banff, Alberta with Drew Butler
Located just one hour west of Calgary, Banff National Park is one of Canada's most widely recognized multi-season tourist destinations. In 2016 it was recognized by Forbes as Winter's Best Ski Trip. It offers a pro-longed ski season, lingering into May, and a picturesque summer season with ample lakes, valleys and Rocky Mountain views. Our friend Drew Butler recently moved there and shares his experience (and photos) with us in this edition of #carryuswithyou!

What brings you to Banff?
I needed a change of scenery, so I hopped on the opportunity to live with an old friend and work as a ski instructor at Lake Louise. It was a tough decision to leave the Junction in Toronto, but the mountains were calling!

Now that you're settled in, what are your top 3 places to eat and/or drink at?
A few of my go-to spots: Rose & Crown for drinks and live music, Balkan for Greek food, and Wild Four Bakery.
With so many outdoor activities to choose from, what are your favorites?
Photography is always at the top of the list. Aside from that, skiing and working at Lake Louise has been awesome. Working with kids is a riot, they keep me on my toes. I've been skating and playing shinny quite a bit too. I usually end my day chilling by the fire with a good live album on Spotify.

Are there any cool areas or neighborhoods that you can recommend?
The entire region is worth seeing. A few of my favorite spots are Marble Canyon in Kootenay National Park, Upper Kananaskis Lake, and Highway 1A from Banff to Lake Louise..
How would you describe your overall experience living in Banff?
Awesome! It's a positive place with a friendly and international community. My only knock would be the food here doesn’t compare to Toronto. Other than that this place is hard to beat!
